There’s no reason to consider this a guide, because it might end up having the opposite effect on you. Consider this a list of what’s going on this week, and the rest is up to you. If you ask me, there are almost too many concerts to attend – and trust me, we aren’t complaining.
Ah yes, Magnus Jacobsen (Sundays/Dance With Dirt) has been running this event with quite the success, and by now it’s running on its fourth season! If you haven’t been there yet, I’ll highly recommend spending your evening in this great company. If you’re lucky, you might even get to hear this one:
It’s gonna be an intimate and acoustic experience, when Vanja and Johannes Hieronymus will take the stage at Fatter Eskil. It might be just what you need on a Wednesday evening.
It’s one of the few musicians I’ve given 6/6 for a live performance, but I simply had to after a performance at SPOT Festival last year. It should be obligatory to experience Daniel Norgren at least once!
Two (very) promising local acts will be taking the stage on this evening at HeadQuarters; Eirene and Valmai. Tickets are only 30 DKK! It’s crazy.
(Thursday and Friday)
It’s been a trend setting festival for many years now, and it seems like the they’re continuing spotting the ‘newbees’ on the Danish scene. This year, the line-up includes Farveblind, Jærv, IRAH, Teenage Love, Masasolo – and many more!
They made their breakthrough back in 2013, and back then, they took the country by storm. They’ve been working on the rest of the world ever since, and I’m pretty sure it’s just a matter of time.
Last year’s winners of KarriereKanonen have been impressing audience and critics all over the country with their highly energetic psych-rock and rap, or whatever you call their music. I had a blast with them at Roskilde, and I imagine it being even more festive at Radar.
It’s Rumpistol, Ane Trolle, and Anders Filipsen (Travelling Tribes) as a trio on this special night at Atlas. It’s new takes on old songs, new songs and pure impro. Yes, we’re in for a treat
We’re ending this week’s round of concerts at Tape with Waver and Hunger. Lo-fi at its finest! By the way, if you don’t know Hunger, it’s a been that has members from both Narcosatanicos, Hahn Kult and Tongues.
