SoundOfAarhus, also known as simply SOA, is an English online resource based in Aarhus. The publication is an independent music magazine that covers the culture, events, and artists that comprise our city’s vibrant music.
Let us make something clear: We are music fans first and foremost with a genuine love of music and a desire to share that love through words, pictures, videos and events in Aarhus. This means, that all our staff is volunteers who believe in supporting local and domestic music. The same goes for our colleagues at the US department SoundOfBoston in Boston, MA.
Our goal is for our readers to see the endless possibilities in music – to feel the joy of standing in the middle of a tense crowd in front of a talented musician you did not even know existed.
Over the course of the last months, SoundOfAarhus has experienced rapid growth, and therefore, we are looking for talented writers to join our little crew. As mentioned above, we are especially on the lookout for somebody who likes discovering new music and has a sharp pen. Whether you fancy pop, rock or other genres is not important, as we do not focus exclusively on particular styles of music. If you have other skills that you think SoundOfAarhus needs, then do not hesitate to contact us.
