The local Danish triphop/neo-soul/hiphop group Manus Nigra (Ham Den Lange, Swab & Fönix) has just released the fourth single “Slut” of their debut-album “Blind vej”, which is due on April 20th on vinyl and download. For more info on Manus Nigra check our interview with them here.
The video is created by Ole Vestergaard Jensen and revolves around the theme of the song – domestic violence. It does so through symbolism, smashing things in slow motion and a great deal of Rorchach. The song itself is about a woman who is being abused by her boyfriend and is telling her self and him that she is moving on and no longer loving him. Later on we hear from the boyfriend who ends up leaving a desperate message on her voicemail. It ends up in a symphony created by the producer Swab.
An important message through a beautiful portrait. Both elegant and devastating at the same time.
