It is not every day that you see a Danish artist with massive 119 million views on Youtube, and over 1 million followers on Facebook – the only band with more followers from Denmark is Volbeat (!). That said, Silkeborg-based DJ and Producer Martin Jensen has exactly that, which is also the reason why he has already been dubbed as a viral sensation.
The reason for his viral success is basically down to a really alternative, modern, and quirky way of producing and releasing music. By using snippets from Youtube videos and random vocal samples he has made a name for himself on musical radars all over the world.
His first single ‘Si’ used a vocal sample from Cristiano Ronaldo, which has captivated electro fans from around the globe and brought the video just shy of 800K views online – on Youtube alone. The most impressive fact was the 14 million views on Spotify, which brought him the first place on Spotify’s “Global Viral Top 50” chart. Keep in mind that it was his debut single. All this before MØ and Lukas Graham entered that chart.
Now Martin is finally back with a new track. With ‘Miracles’, his newest single, which premiered via Earmilk yesterday, he is bringing the tropical vibes to the shitty Danish winter months. The track is based on a sampling of the viral sensation ‘Duck Army’, features Bjørnskov, and is released via disco:wax.
A lot of buzz have been surrounding the release of ‘Mircales’, which might explain why the track’s teaser on Facebook, showing his creating of the full song via the video called ‘Tropical Duck Army’, has been seen 22 million times alone.
If you a fan of chill, house, and tropical vibes, then you will love his new single. No matter what, his stats and journey is really impressive. Check out ‘Miracles‘ below.
