Put on your trashy jeans, shake your greasy hair, pop a beer open and dance around in your living room with the volume kicking the top notch. This is the only way to celebrate the two new videos from the coolest local female three-piece, Velvet Volume.
During summer the three sisters, Noa, Naomi and Nataja Lachmi have been sharing their oldschool rock tunes with happy festival goers across the country. They have been so busy striking the guitar strings, hitting the drums and singing (and sometimes shouting) that they have not released a music video in quite some time… until now!
In August the band announced that a video would be ready for release in the near future, and before we knew it the three sisters were walking down a crooked ally in a black and white video singing directly to the camera to their track ”Running Wild”. The video is very basic and excludes thoughts about big fancy productions, as it’s basically just Velvet Volume, carrying a camera down an alley, while laughing and jumping to their own tunes.
The other video, (released the same day!) is a bit different, but still represents the simple objective of Velvet Volume being on screen: To show how much they love to play.
You will find them in what looks like a basement shower room lit up by spot lights, each of them playing their instrument to the fast rythms of ”I Think I Need You”.
Of course it starts with Noa Lachmi’s characteristic guitar riff and then it all takes off from there. Watch the two videos here and be aware that this won’t be the last thing you’ll see and hear from these rocking ladies.
