Earlier today, we wrote about Kasper Spez and his release party this friday. Earlier this week, we had a front page article in Aarhus Onsdag about Newbees Festival this weekend, but there’s no reason to stop there when we’re in for such a great weekend in Aarhus!
Friday at Radar you can witness two slightly different bands. One of them are among the absolute finest in Danish psychedelic rock, and the other band is one of the best indie acts in Denmark these days. I’m sure that you, by now, are in no need of more info, you’ve probably already bought your ticket, but I’m gonna present the two bands for ya anyway. In short, two of the best bands in their respective genres, and they’re playing at Radar – and it’ll only cost you 80 DKK!
So, if you haven’t heard of these guys yet, that probably means that you’ve been focusing a lot more on the Top 10 iTunes charts. If you’ve been studying posters from different venues or festivals, you’ve seen this name before, and it’s about time you catch them live. They had their debut concert back in 2013 at Aarhus Psych Fest, but since then they’ve been supporting names like Get Your Gun, Electric Eye, TOY and Iceage; quite a few of our go to bands.
Their debut album was released earlier this month, and I’ll definitely recommend checking it out, both on vinyl, your favorite streaming service and live!
My first experience with these guys was at SmukFest this summer, when they played at LiveCamp. After only a couple of songs, they were faced with some technical difficulties; the power decided to take a break from all the music and the partying. They handled it like professionals, and they played a really, really good concert – unfortunately, they were playing in front of an audience that wanted to hear the latest from Emil Stabil. However, I’m sure that these guys, when playing at Radar, are among the absolute best indie bands we have right now.
Their album from May this year is really something, and in my perspective, it’s something that everyone should have on their smartphones or whatever; it’s something you should have near by at all times.
