Tonight Bias will perform on HeadQuarters, and tomorrow local urban bands will perform on Train – with Point Blank as the headlining act.
The local rock-band Bias released their debutalbum Biased 2 days ago, and with the release they received a lot of focus from, among others, GAFFA. But even though this is their debut-album, this is stil an experienced band. With two EP’s and a lot of concerts in both Aarhus and Copenhagen, this is a band that has been working their way up for the last couple of years.
On their new album they’ve been playing with prog-rock and they’ve really done a great job. In general there were no rules during their recording of the album, and everything that could make a sound was used. It’s not everyday that a debut prog-rock album like this is released in DK!
From prog-rock to hip-hop, Friday nigth Train will host an event were three local urban acts will go on stage. It’s actually 3 succesfull acts, on three different stages in their career. Wicked has been getting airplay on the radiostation P6 with the single Kostumeramt, and he is on his way with a brand new EP. Camilo & Grande are among this years finalist in the very prestigeous competition Karrierekanonen. They are one of the 8 chosen bands left, due to a tremendous performance at this years SPOT Festival that secured a place among the last 8. The headlining act Friday evening on Train is the very popular group Point Blank! This organic hip-hop group has been giving us a lot of reasons to write about them lately, with a performance in the official program at this years SPOT Festival, a new amazing single called They Ask (linked above) and as the final act at this years Mejlgade For Diversity. The last couple of years they’ve build up a solid fan scare in the Aarhus underground, and we feel pretty sure that their big breakthrough will come with their forthcoming album. AND, after seing them two times this month we can most definitely guarantee that these guys know how to perform live!
