If you’re going to SPOT festival this year, there’s no excuse to get bored whenever your favourite must-see shows aren’t playing. There’s a tonne of day parties that you can attend if you don’t want to miss out on anything. Here’s a small recommendation for each taste and mood. With this specific piece, we have decided to only feature and include day parties that do not require a SPOT wristband, so these events can be your opportunity to catch up with friends, the girl- or boyfriend, or family, and cure your hangovers at the same time. If you get the munchies, fear no more, you can grab some of the best food in the country at the Open Festival Courts or next to both the Uhørt and Phonofile day party.

Go to Fidel’s at ‘Åen’ to join the Uhørt Festival Dayparty to kick off the day with Shy Shy Shy, Møl and other artists who played at Uhørt festival last year. The event is presented by Uhørt Festival, focusing on giving Danish music the opportunity to grow with great live performances. There’s a huge potential to get your buzz on with four artists in the genres hip hop, indie/synth pop, noise rock and shoegaze/metal. Cheers!

Saturday the 30th of April: PHONOFILE DAY PARTY
More into an intimate atmosphere with a drizzle of rock? Then you should head down to Sway under Clemens Bro for the Phonofile Day party. A couple of months back, we actually made a small list with 5 Norwegian bands, that Aarhus should book in near future. One of these bands was Línt and we are so honored that Phonofile heard us! Here you’ll be met with free beers (if you’re quick) and a music loving and probably also smoking crowd (bartenders included). The atmosphere is intimate, space is tight and you are physically as close to the artists as can be. Enjoy the feeling of the music going straight to your bones when listening to the lovely voice of Pernille Rosendahl, the wavy and psychedelic sounds of Masasolo and the interesting post-rock band, Línt from Norway. Be there well in due time, as this will surely attract a long line of SPOT attendants.
Date: April 30
Time: 13.00 – 16.00
Place: Sway (Sankt Clemens Torv 17, 8000 Aarhus)
