They have been on everyone’s lips since their mind-blowing concert in the depth of night at this year’s SPOT Festival. The Danish Noise-Romance trio (their own genre label) is indeed the hot topic at the moment on the music scene in our small monarchy.
Back then I ended up describing their music as poppish punk or 80’s pop on crack. As if The Cure actually played the kind of music they want to look like they are playing – you can read that review here.
The band consists of guitarist Anders Colstrup Hvass, guitarist and leadsinger Mathias Berthelsen, and drummer Jonas Wetterslev, and they have had a massive year with gigs at Roskilde Rising, UHØRT Festival, ALIVE Festival, and Offspring in Tivoli. Together they form a ticking bomb of noisy rock, which could very well become the next big international buzz-act to hit stages all over the world. According to their facebook page, they have just been revealed as a part of the lineup on Dutch festival Grasnapolsky 2016, so their international adventure could very well begin already!
A couple of days ago they surprised everybody with the release of their latest single ‘Routine Lines’ with accompanying video. A visual journey down memory lane with the trio, Signe from Nelson Can, a packed car, and a jumping crowd with a crowd surfer on top. All this spiced with moving pictures of some slow-flooding jellyfishes. This combination is sort of like the entire video summed up in a couple of sentences.
We cannot wait to experience The Entrepreneurs in Aarhus again. Until then, you can see them live on December 5 at P6 Rocker Koncerthuset in Copenhagen together with brilliant acts such as Choir of Young Believers, SOAK (UK), D/Troit, The Raveonettes, local Velvet Volume, and our previous WatchOut Nick Sway.
