I clearly remember the concert at SPOT festival. The entire lobby in Musikhuset was filled with hopeful people who would all witness a show that destroyed knees, made your voice go hoarse and wrote itself onto the board of memories inside your head. With that in mind there was a lot of pressure on Tako Lako, as they went on the Forrest stage (Skov Scenen red.) this Friday at Danmarks Grimmeste Festival. The square in front was again filled to capacity with people.
Previously, the band has been named one of the “best upcoming-acts” by MTV, and not without reason. From the first second, you were once again taken on a journey to the state of Tako Lako. Here the currency is sweat and the language replaced with dance. Trapped in your own body’s limitations were danced, sung and sweated through the scorching heat of the sun and power demonstration, which also lead singer Ognjen Curcic’s shirt clearly was marked by.
The band has once again proven to be the guarantor of a celebration of dimensions in a set which both featured romance between violin and clarinet as well as a missing bass player who just had to watch the show from the audience’s point of view!
It is quite obvious that this is a band that loves to be on stage, which you also feel in the crowd. Once again a party from Tako Lako which we acknowledge with 4.5 of 5 stars from Sound Of Aarhus.
