It’s been exciting to follow the opening of Tape, our new venue in town. Since their grand opening festival back in January, we’ve practically been having them on our weekly guide every week. It’s safe to say, we’re glad to have Tape in town.
It’s not only the new venue in town, though, it’s also one of the new stages added to SPOT Festival, who’s taking over the entire city, and we love it. Today, they’ve announced the four names completing the Thursday line-up:
20:00 – Clarissa Connelly
This local singer/song writer is something else. Her songs lie in a field of tension between electronic music and bedroom pop, but it is the mix between the atmospheric music and her unique vocal that really does it.
21:00 – Collider
This Copenhagen-act has qualified themselves with the release of ‘Bruno’, the first single from their forthcoming EP. It’s extremely catchy, yet a tiny bit confusing. It messes with your head, but you want to hear more.
22:00 – Modest
Yet another interesting, local band we’ve got here. They play melodic and meaningful rock music, and they’re preaching about what it’s like to be young, but you know what? You don’t have to be young to appreciate their music.
23:00 – Tears
In my opinion, this is the most interesting local pop act. It started out as a solo project from Jeppe Grønbæk, but today Tears also includes Markus Sollid on bass, Magnus Lykke on keys, and Mikkel Silkjær on drums. Haven’t heard them yet? It’s about time you do.
A SPOT ticket will give you acces to the concerts taking place at Tape during the festival, but it’s also possible a ticket just to the concerts at Tape.
