Today we got spot on one of the local bands – the talented guys in the garagerock band GO GO Berlin.
After winning a local music competition, they received a lot of attention. Since then everything has been developing very fast. After playing a lot of small venues around the Danish country, they got a big offer.
They got offered the job as warm up act on a bigger tour with the amazing The Blue Van! That really kickstarted their career. This spring they have been out playing their own DK tour, which has brought them by 15 different venues in 15 different cities all over the country. Furthermore they found space in their busy schedule for 3 concerts in Germany as well. The nearest future holds a serious festival tour during this summer, where they’ll visit places as Smukfest in Skanderborg, the legendary Roskilde Festival and of course our very own SPOT-Festival right here in Aarhus. To follow up on that, they’re ending 2013 with a tour around Europe, set up by the same German booker that books Medina’s, Tina Dickow’s and Carpark Norths’s Europe gigs.
That all sounds incredible, but there’s one more detail.
They haven’t officially released anything yet – Besides a demo, and an EP from winning the local music competition.
That’s close to the best start ever!
No doubt this band has the potential to become one of the big ones. With an international sound, lot of experience, lot of attention, a great hype around them and they have just begun.
There’s no album or singles officially released yet, but don’t worry! You can still get to know this band. On youtube.com, you’ll find a lot of unplugged- and live sessions, and a couple of studio recorded songs as well. We can’t wait to get the debut album, which is expected later this year! But while we wait we can enjoy the unplugged version of “Waste of trying”.
