This week holds a lot of cool events in Aarhus, this is our recommendations!
We start off with one of the bigger names in present time, Quadron and their two concerts at Train this week. They’ll be playing both Tuesday and Friday, last mentioned concert is sold out, but there are still tickets left for Tuesday. After quite a successful time, with appearance at The Late Show with Letterman, working with Tyler The Creator, The Roots and Kendrick Lamar, and creating massive hits – they are now returning to Denmark for a couple of shows. Both concerts at Vega are sold out as well, and with the sold out concert at Train these guys sure are popular. Hurry up and buy your ticket!
Thursday evening it’s time for Audition Days at Radar. This ORA project has existed for some years now, and it’s an evening where bands get an opportunity to kick start their career. At these events four bands will perform, and after their concerts they’ll receive criticism from established people from the danish music scene. Instead of making music a sport with winners and losers, this event is made to strengthen the participating bands. This evening will hold concerts from Taft, Chasers Through the Desert, Total Hip Replacement and Hitchhikers.
Also at Radar is the concert with Broken Beats, Friday. At the end of September they released their brand new album ‘All These Beginnings’, and we rewarded it with (4/5). You can find the album review at this very website. The price is 100 kr., and i feel pretty sure that it is money well spent.
Support act this evening is Captain Casanova – you’ve got to love these boys! We’ve included their Jack&Jones session below!
The last concert recommended this week, is the concert with the beloved Spids Nøgenhat. These playful, psychedelic, rock musicians have just released their new album ‘Kommer Med Fred’, and this is definitely a concert we’ve been looking forward to. Check out the video to Lolland Falster from their new album, to see if this is something for you! This event will take place Friday at Atlas, and the price is 160 kr.
