After a weekend with PsychFest, it’s now time to look forward to this weeks concerts! Starting tonight with Foals at Train.
Forget everything about having your typical monday evening, grab your wallet and order a couple of tickets to the Foals concert at Train tonight! Bring a friend, girlfriend/boyfriend or whatever, and enjoy this incredible english indie-rock band. Their newest album, Holy Fire, was released earlier this year, and if you haven’t heard it yet – do it! As support they bring the swedish twin sisters from Say Lou Lou. Price 180 kr.
After this heavy opener, there’s a couple of days off, and Thursday evening it’s time for some summer-indie-pop at Radar from The Eclectic Moniker. The last year or two this 7-piece band have been getting it’s major breakthrough. More than 70 concerts in DK, hit singles on the radio, successful debut album, and thursday evening they’ll perform while you dance. Support is the young, talented band Quick Quick Obey. Price 120 kr.
Friday it’s time for a concert at Radar we’ve been looking forward to for some time now. Here at SOA we’ve had a lot of focus on the guys from Kissaway Trail, and needless to say – we are fans. Their latest album, Breach, was rewarded with 4/5 stars from our writer Bobby McBride, read it here (it’s a good read BTW): http://soundofaarhus.com/betabetareview-the-kissaway-trail-breach-dk/
Support for the evening is a new noise-pop group from Aarhus called Woven Blush. From the sound of it, this band has a lot of potential! Price 100 kr.
The last concert from our recommendations this week is also Friday, where Folkeklubben will perform their melodious and infectious folk-pop. It’s thoughtful, poetic lyrics and musically superior songs. It’s simply good songs, with danish lyrics – rare thing these days! Support is the local Ulvetimen. Price 130 kr.
Four great concerts sets the standards for a promising week. Have you discovered better concerts in Aarhus this week, or do you not agree, feel free to tell us!
