This week’s concert recommendations in Aarhus!
After a great couple of weeks, it’s now time for a week with less recommendations than usually. It might only be 3 ‘chosen ones’ this week, but it’s three pretty descent concerts!
First up, Go Go Berlin release party at HeadQuarters Monday evening. There new album ‘New Gold’ is released earlier same day, and our very own review of this album rewarded it with a 4.5/5! These guys are future stars on the danish music scene, show up and follow them from their very beginning. Free entrance by the way!
Thursday evening it’s time to witness a world class musician in action. The 20 year old Icelandic super-talent Asgeir Trausti drops by VoxHall, and this concert is definitely worth the 170 kr. The mix of electronica and acoustic guitar, and a beautiful voice is really good, and draws comparisons to Sigur Ros, James Blake and Bon Iver.
Last, but not least, it’s the celebration of local rock music at Radar Friday evening. MONO i Stereo is the event that shows the audience what the future rock-scene in Aarhus might look like! With We Go Vertigo, Turbo Child, War Drums and Beg To Differ it’s a very strong line-up. Especially War Drums catches my attention when looking at these bands, their latest EP was also rewarded with 4.5/5 – and i’ve been listening to it ever since! This lovely evening costs 50 kr.
Only 3 concerts, but 3 great events! If you feel like we’ve missed something, feel free to tell us.
