What to hear, what to hear…
Dad Rocks! + Support: Boho Dancer (Solo) – Radar, 90 kr. (RELEASE)
We’ve mentioned Dad Rocks! quite a few times lately, and we can’t help it; we love Dad Rocks! The concert Thursday is the release concert of the brand new album, ‘Year of the Flesh’, an album rewarded with 4/5 here at SOA! Support is a solo-gig from Boho Dancer-singer Ida Wenøe.
Cults (US) + Support: Keep Camping – Train (co-presenter: Fonden VoxHall), 152 kr.
Well, there are two great concerts Thursday evening, actually more, but at Train you can witness American Cults, and their harmonic and experimental dream pop. This is band highly praised by Pitchfork and NME, and Thursday they’ll perform at Train. Support is the local band Keep Camping, the recent finalist in Karrierekanonen and a band we had the pleasure of witnessing at our release-party!
Alcoholic Faith Mission feat. CODY, Sleep Party People m.fl. + support: Stærosaurus + Monkey Cup Dress – Atlas, 150 kr.
Lou Reed was a fan, Kathleen Edwards is a fan, Sound of Aarhus are fans! A compilation CD is released in just a couple of days, and that’s celebrated with a small tour – and they’re bringing their friends from the music collective Copenhagen Collaboration; CODY, Sleep Party People among others.
Tim Hecker (CA) + Dean Blunt (UK) – Atlas (Co-presenter: Radar & Flux), 150 kr.
Saturday it’s time for an incredible artistic sound-experience! Probably not the best pre-party, but it’s definitely an experience you’ll remember. Tim Hecker is one of the absolute best in his field, and Dean Blunt is highly praised for his experimental collages of sound.
