The Festival’s are slowly taking over now, and there are only a few concerts this week at local venues.
Today we enter the week before Northside Festival, in less than a month Roskilde Festival will begin, and in 2 months we have Grim Fest and Smuk Fest. The artists are rehearsing as much as they can, preparing new songs for their live performances meanwhile the local venues are trying to book bands to play in between these festivals, which isn’t easy. This also means that by now, the venues here in Aarhus have fewer concerts in their calendars, and that those few artists booked have to bring quality to the stage!
This week holds just the above, with a few, but very exciting, concerts there are definitely some to attend here in Aarhus. Here are our recommendations for this week:
Mala in Cuba, Atlas – Wednesday 19.00
The English dub-pioneer visits Atlas with his fascinating collaboration of English dubstep and traditional Cuban sounds.
Ibrahim Electric, Radar – Friday 20.00
It’s jazz, funk and afroblues from the amazing Ibrahim Electric. They’ve performed all over the world and released 7 albums. If you haven’t seen them live, do it this Friday!
Federal Unicorn, HQ (HeadQuarters) – Friday 21.30
Energetic and raw rock-music from the three guys in Federal Unicorn. According to themselves they play Horny Rock!
The White Dominos, Backstage – Saturday 19.00
The local tight-jeans rock musicians release their first EP, and invite you to a party at Backstage. Join them for BBQ, beers and great rock music with support from R.Noor and Alpaca.
