Today I woke with the sun NOT heating up my tent. Truly a beautiful morning at Roskilde. A huge brunch plate took away the weird feeling in my stomach – and the first beer reminded me of that feeling.
This was the first Roskilde morning, and the atmosphere in the camp was amazing! The first concert was only a few hours away, and a day with Get Your Gun, The Minds of 99 and Blaue Blume.
Just as I thought, that nothing could get me down, I met the Rising stage for the first time. I mean, what the hell? It’s small, has no character and placed the worst possible place. So, why??
Get Your Gun (5/6)
As Andreas Westmark and his were about to enter the stage, the crowd started shouting their name. Opening with the hard hitting Black Book, this writer started screaming along. For me it was nothing but hits. Especially Call Me Rage was impressing. During the entire concert they seemed confident and like they beligge dat Roskilde, even though they could’ve been on a better stage. Good job, guys!
Blaue Blume (4/6)
Way more people turned up to witness this lovely, hyped band. They haven’t played a lot of concerts yet, but they’ve managed to build up a quite big group of fans, well deserved. The captivating vocal, the great amount of guitar and well produced hits created a good performance, but the Rising stage and Blaue Blume wasn’t a great match.
The Minds of 99 (6/6)
Way better than at NorthSide, better than at SPOT – this was amazing. A great smile from Niels Brandt started the show, and from then on they never looked back. Incredible!
After three good concerts, it was tome to get hammered and some rave in the west area. On my way home, I decided to check out the World cup results and drop my phone on the stairs. It went under the stairs, an area you can’t enter. Damn! Some great security people helped me out the morning after, and we are now reunited.
