Danish R.C.Y. celebrates the diversity of volunteering with local Revenge of the Creature, Route to the Sun and Green Lives.
Since 2011, Red Cross Youth have been presenting local bands for one particular reason – raising the awareness of volunteering. At the same time they want to show us, that volunteering is not only helping with homework, being in support groups or being a mentor – it’s also about social activities and great parties with other young people. Volunteering is all about contributing with whatever you can, and that’s also the reason why the musicians play for free, to raise the awareness of volunteering.
Earlier, this event has been presenting names like Julaw, Darling Don’t Dance, Dad Rocks and Mads Björn, just to name a few, and this thursday, at HeadQuarters, they yet again present some exciting local upcoming names.
This time the musical theme is folk-rock, with bands that all leads your thoughts towards the sun and summer – and the entrance is only 20 DKK!
20.00 – Revenge of the Creature
20.45 – Route to the Sun
22.00 – Green Lives
The headliner, Green Lives, released their debut EP back in 2012 after signing with Mermaid Records – and only a month after that, they opened SPOT Festival. Both release and concert was rewarded with great reviews, and expectations are high for their forthcoming debut album.
