Premiere: Danish Psych-Group Fribytterdrømme Share ‘Verden Ender For Dine Fødder’
If you haven’t heard of Fribytterdrømme yet, well, you probably haven’t been paying much attention. These guys have been all over the place – venues, festivals, magazines, and loads of airplay with hits like ‘Kosmonauten’ and ‘Himmellegemer’ – the last couple of years.
And they’re getting quite good at ‘being on the radar’; last week, you could hear the lead singer of the band, Lau I.V. Pedersen, featuring on a Suspekt-song from their newest album. Apparently, that cooperation had way more to it than just that song…
Today, Fribytterdrømme is releasing the first single from their forthcoming album ‘Superego’ – set to be released on April 7th. The record has Rune Rask as executive producer and is released via Tabu Records. Emil Simonsen (aka. Orgi-E) even stated that they were planning on maintaining most of the focus on Suspekt, but the music coming from Fribytterdrømme is essential to DK, calling it “the most interesting thing that has happened on the Danish scene in recent times”.
‘Verden Ender For Dine Fødder’, the previously mentioned first single, is out today, and it comes with a brilliantly constructed video. On this song, they’re continuing down the path of psychedelic pop-rock with a taste of acid, repetitions and charisma – and it’s obvious to call out the bands they’re inspired by, but you know what? There’s no need to. Fribytterdrømme is now – in 2017, and we can’t wait to hear the album.
