Swearing at Motorists are back, teaming up with local indieheroes Snaredrum.
One of my biggest moments from Pop Revo 2012? Swearing at Motorists aka Dave Dougham. Turned out he was doing a solo show. The drummer never showed up – or so he said. Truth is; didn’t really look like he ever was to show up. But that didn’t mean shit for Dave, who did one hell of a show.
Playing in Atlas, a stage known for being terrible to create an atmosphere in, he included the audition all through the show while playing his low-key rock’n’roll and ending with a get-together on stage at the end of show. Cadou to the guy, who’s music is great but not uniq – but his personallity is. Just follow him on twitter to get a view of why I can’t help loving him.
Ganging up with local Snaredrum for this year Pop Revo, we’re in for a rare performance. But a great one I’m sure of. Having just released their first album in true indie-style (only backed by the local recordshop BadStue Rock), Snaredrum can actually label themself as a true indieband.
Swearing at Motorists vs Snaredrum is just one of many great concerts to look forward to Friday and Saturday @ Pop Revo 2014.
