Our local two-day festival Pop Revo has unveiled its final lineup today. Somehow, this is a bittersweet feeling, and it is with mixed emotions, that we can unveil the line-up. Last week the local festival, which has been here for twelve years, announced that this year’s festival will be the last Pop Revo. That said, their lineup is just as exciting as usual and includes artists from all over the world – some you know, others you need to know; the fact is that the festival has always been a guarantor of exciting musical surprises.
I will not go into further detail with every artist and band, but will let the music speak for itself. The main reason is, that many times, Pop Revo unveils music that you simply need to hear without pages of introduction, and therefore, I have decided to let it speak for itself. Press the band names to hear their music on Youtube, Soundcloud or Bandcamp.
The line-up for The Grand Final includes: The Pastels (SCO), Neil Hagerty & The Howling Hex (US), Cavern Of Anti-Matter (UK), LUH (UK), Julien Baker (US), Day Wave (US), The Space Lady (US), Kikagaku Moyo (JP), Seth Bogart (US), Mueran Humanos (ARG), Housewives (UK), Useless Eaters (US), Häxxan (ISR), Yung – Performing “A Youthful Dream” (DK), Lust For Youth (SE/DK), Starcrash – Performing “Tarantula Wallpaper, Dracula Screensaver” (DK), Modest (DK), Tears (DK), First Hate (DK), Værket (DK).
I have decided to include one of my personal favorites below. Check out Day Wave, the solo project of Jackson Phillips, from US. A brilliant piece for this sunny Friday.
