Photos: Welcome To The Village – A Place That You’ll Be Homesick For

Last weekend we went to the Dutch city of Leeuwarden to visit their lovely festival called Welcome To The Village – actually went down there last year too to study the concept of Mienskip – which you can read about here – but this year was a little different.
After talking back and forth with the people behind the festival, SoundOfAarhus (SOA red.) we came to the conclusion that SOA could present a couple of Danish local Aarhus acts at the Grauwe Kat stage – which looked and felt a little like an old circus tent with a stove in the middle and a Plexiglas-like window in the middle of the roof – so we contacted the two talented local acts Federal Unicorn and Captain Casanova.
Instead of describing the event in detail, we would prefer to just show you our weird photos, because this festival was really (once again) a brilliant experience. The entire area will really speak to fans of Northside; it just feels even bigger and filled with even more funky stuff, and the price for a complete ticket with camping and festival included is both cheap and affordable as well. Furthermore both Captain Casanova and Federal Unicorn performed some random acoustic performances both at the festival area and backstage, which we will feature soon.
In short, Welcome to the Village was again a magical experience!
