Right now we’re sitting in the back of our awesome band bus and trying to figure out our route back to Denmark, who should sleep when, who should drive etc. For some reason we decided to drive through the night, again… 15 hours of driving, here we come!
It’s Monday and we’ve just finished our last concert here in Switzerland, where we played at Tuchlaube, one of Aarau’s hippest restaurant/bars. We played an acoustic gig here earlier today, but we’ve made the most friends just by just sitting around drinking cappuccinos, which it would seem is what most people do on Mondays in Aarau. Despite being so early in the week the place was full of people all day and when we played in the evening the place was packed. We’re not sure if the crowd understood all our jokes and stories, but they laughed and clapped anyway, which was nice. We like Aarau!
Yesterday was our day off and we spent some time getting to know Aarau and some of the locals. We’ve spent some time hanging out with our host Thomas at one of Switzerland’s smallest restaurants where saying no to more beer and food is not an option. We’ve also learned that Switzerland is crazy expensive if you’re not careful! Andreas was unlucky enough to turn on his mobile data yesterday and managed to spend 500kr in less than 5 minutes. Note to self: always use the local wifi…
We’ve only been in Switzerland for four days and played three shows on our mini-tour, but we’ve already made new friends and new fans in every place we’ve played.
Highlights include: Playing sold out concerts (and playing outside the venue for drunk fans who didn’t get tickets), dipping our feet in freezing rivers, eating local food, getting lost on mountain paths, writing music in historic locations and getting to know awesome people.
We’ll be back for sure!
Until next time!
