It has been such an experience to be a part of the booking for this years Newbees Festival, where we’ve been through more than 260 applications.
Recently, we had the pleasure of announcing the first 5 acts (Paper Tigers, Feel Freeze, Rosenthal, Lowly, Sherpa) – and now it’s time to reveal the full-line up:
Last year, Skinz played at the skate scene at Roskilde Festival, he’s played support for the big urban pop-acts and now it’s time for his breakthrough. Earlier this year he released a brilliant EP ‘Byen Sover Aldrig’, and it is definitely worthy of more than a listen.
Quick Quick Obey:
These guys really impressed us with the release of their album ‘Bulb Days’! I personally saw them at Gimle Soundtjek and SPOT festival, and both times they’ve shown just how talented they are. Quick Quick Obey is the next big thing, i’m sure!
The local act Trip-E is a mixture of electronic and acoustic, but with unique samples and trashed synth they break from their inspirations such as Portishead and Massive Attack. Singer Erica Casier is really an experience, and I can’t wait to finally see these guys live for the first time!
BAU is the sound of warm, vibrating synth, fragile vocal and minimal beats. Even though this is a relatimely new project, BAU has released a couple songs, new ones on their way and played at UHØRT festival.
I’LL BE DAMNED:
GOD DAMNED ROCK’n’ROLL! These 5 guys from Aarhus are melodic, straight forward and energetic – and truly an experience live. Check out the video they sent us, which might give you an idea of what i’m talking about:
