On April 3rd CULTS will take over Train and turn the grand venue into indie-heaven.
CULTS is a New York-based indie-pop duo consisting of Madeline Follin and Brian Oblivion. The duo released their self-titled debut album in 2011, creating a lot of buzz with the release of their single “Go Outside” – a great indie 60’s inspired track with a playful glockenspiel as a contrast to the sinister Brian Jonestown quote.
In October 2013 CULTS came out with their sophomore release “Static” and after touring the US both solo and as support for Pixies, the time has come for Europe and Aarhus.
CULTS’ music can best be described as pure indie-pop. When listening to both their debut and sophomore release, you can’t help but feel the vintage-vibe (maybe it’s the heavy use of reverb).
So, if you’re a sucker for great indie and reverb en masse, you should definitely get off the couch and go buy yourself a ticket + you’ll get the chance to see member of SOA’s class of 2014, Keep Camping, as they will be the warm-up band. Tickets are only 140 DKK +fees. GO GO GO!
