Earlier today 4 Guys From The Future released the first single from their forthcoming album
Back in 2010 these guys from Copenhagen released their debut album ‘Under the New Morning Sun’, one of 2010’s best reviewed albums. Their follow up ‘Adagio’ is set to be released on October 28, and their first single You Don’t Know What You’re Doing is out now!
If you’re looking for your new ‘get-out-of-bed-monday-morning-and-feel-happy-song’, this is not it. So get that out of your head immediately, and take a listen to this song that instead makes your mind wander towards personal feelings and thoughts. You Don’t Know What You’re Doing is a song about anxiety, doubt and about personal and cultural depression – and it get’s to you!
Even though this track was released earlier today, it’s a song the 4 masterminds have been working on for some time now – along with the forthcoming album. Many of the songs have even been played live earlier on, as support act for Choir of Young Believers. You can easily hear that this song is a well-thought melting pot, as you can almost sense the ride frontman Bjarke Porsmose has been on during this process. The band has coped with some troubling feelings about finding ways to contribute with cultural changes, and these feelings ends up with this emotional song.
At the moment You Don’t Know What You’re Doing is one of the five Bobler at Det Elektroniske Barometer, alongside names such as Arcade Fire and Unknown Mortal Orchestra. Stop by and give them your vote right here: http://www.dr.dk/p3/programmer/barometer/listen/
