The re-scheduled concert with the very popular singer takes place Friday
As an already established name on the Danish music scene Mikael Simpson really doesn’t need an introduction. You guys are gonna get one anyway!
Simpson can brag of being a talented elctronical singer/songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and film-composer. Simpson’s music has the feel of chillwave, and generates a mellow and thoughtful mood that fits quite perfectly for the fast approaching summer. With a flair for dubstep-ish productions and a slight crooner voice, he has managed to become a defining talent amongst Danish musicians, with a large and growing fan-base.
Simpson started his musical career in the indie-band Luksus (Luxury) but the band split up in 2001. It wasn’t until Simpson released his solo record Os 2 + Lidt Ro in 2002 that he found his own musical style and sound. Simpson has sparred with other talented electronical artist like Trentemøller and the electro-duo Lulu Rouge. Together with Danish designer and musician Henrik Vibskov, Simpson joined Trentemøller on his world tour in 2007, stretching across the US and Europe.
In Mikael Simpson Trio, Simpson has joined forces with Asger Baden and Steen Holbek, to deliver his smooth beats to the crowd during this spring and summer. Caused by a heavy cold, Simpson was forced to postpone his spring/summer tour dates until recovery. Now the time is set and the voice in check for the trio to play at Voxhall this Friday.
