The Aarhus/Copenhagen based band released a new single today!
In recent time it has been sort of popular to concentrate on playing with the Danish language. With bigger names such as Christian Hjelm and Søren Huss in front, many more younger bands and artists have been following up. But it’s not easy to make a breakthrough when singing in Danish!
Some of those who’ve been hyped lately are the guys from Maskinvåd. It’s a Danish orchestra based in Aarhus and Copenhagen, and they released their debut album back in October 12. The album is called “Giftige slanger” and it’s produced by the legendary Nikolaj Nørlund, who besides producing his own music also produced for I Got You On Tape and Ulige Numre.
But now they’ve released a brand new single called “Uden Tøj På”. We actually heard this song live in April as they were support act for Jacob Bellens. On stage they announced that this was a new song, and in some way that always really makes you pay attention to the song. This song is cool, up-tempo and with fantastic Danish lyrics. The new single also comes with a music video made with video-artist Meise Fabricius and dancer Alina Fejzo. It’s most definitely worth a view or more!
At their support act, they only had front figures Mathias W. Kjeldsen and Peter Skibsted on stage, but at this years SPOT Festival they’ll be performing with the complete band constellation. And we are most definitely looking forward!
