Clocks have been set back, Halloween festivities are done and Christmas (beer) season is upon us. It’s time to start reflecting on some of the best records to come out of 2017, and after hearing the freshly released 2nd album by these special swedes, my personal list has just grown a place with Devotion. Pale Honey’s minimal dream-indie vibes seem to fit this time of year perfectly – short days and long nights, cozy and candlelit in the twilight of yet another strange and eventful year for the books.
While Pale Honey weren’t playing a show in Aarhus on the Danish leg of the Devotion tour, they were kind enough to stop by and record a live-in-studio session for us at Tapetown on their way to a gig in Aalborg. We’re definitely hoping that we can entice them back for a proper show in one of our venues, but in the meantime, feast your eyes and ears on “The Heaviest Of Storms (Devotion pt. 1)” – one of the highlights of their new Devotion LP.
As always – subscribe to the Live at Tapetown YouTube channel for more material from our collaborative sessions. You can check out bonus numbers from previous acts. Keep tuned to Sound Of Aarhus for the exclusives.
Pale Honey’s new LP “Devotion” is out now on all streaming and downloading platforms. Follow the band on Facebook for more updates on shows and merch.
