A lot of people had turned up for some noise and romance at SCC late Friday night – quite as expected, being that The Entrepreneurs is one of the absolute must-sees this year.
Last year, they broke the scale with their gig at Radar, a concert that left our writer with a habit of playing them on repeat. This year, just like Alex Vargas, they’d been upgraded to a bigger stage, and, also just like Alex Vargas, they delivered once again.
It was rough, fast, tight, noisy and brutal – and the crowd was going absolute mental. It’s considered one of the best live bands in Denmark, and they always seem to justify the hype on stage.
In the middle of the set, they shared a couple of new ones with us. A ballad and a song that sort of broke with the usual pop melodies hidden under all that noise. Cool tracks, no doubt, but I’m pretty sure they wanted to test these songs at SPOT Festival, and the conclusion must be, that most of the audience didn’t quite get them.
Mathias, Anders and Jonas is a solid combination. Their performance last night was really impressive, but I had the feeling, though, that I could’ve wanted a bit more noise. Like being hit incredibly hard in the stomach by noise-guitar. That being said, I had a blast enjoying this rowdy atmosphere at SCC.
It's always incredible to watch a band justify the hype; this is one of the best live bands we've got! (5/6)
