Daniel Norgren, I surrender. You’ve won whatever competition there could, should or would’ve been. You’ve ruined me for many bands in your genre, and for the first time this year i actually felt that bands could learn from the act I was witnessing.
I’ve experienced loads of concerts the last couple of years, and for every concert, it gets more and more difficult to impress me – but you sure as hell did. You are as authentic as every musician should be, and I enjoyed almost every moment of your show.
“Almost”, you ask? Yup, the magic opening got ruined by noises from smartphones, from cameras and from drunken, over excited weirdos who surely must’ve expected something else. Several times I was just about to disappear into the world of Daniel Norgren, but just as I was about to enter the gates to something magical, something distracted me. If you know the act you are about to see, then you know how to behave. If you don’t, well, play it cool and be inspired by the music and the actual fans enjoying the show. That being said, as the concert proceeded, Daniel Norgren, the audience and ‘Musikhuset’ was a perfect fucking match. Hands down the best concert I’ve ever witnessed at SPOT Festival.
