Ah, yes. News from Mew always come at just the right time – doesn’t it? At the time, when you’ve started listening to old material once again, and dream yourself towards new material and what that might sound like. Well, just the other day, good old’ Mew released ‘Satellites’. And yes, it’s everything you hoped it would be. It’s tight, produced with clinical quality and it’s a hit!
Their forthcoming album is set to be released late April, and the first taste is very promising.
We’ve all experienced Mew live (right?) and we’ve all had times where Mew has a definite spot on our everyday playlist, and we all remember when Mew was a part of what was played on the radio and what not. With ‘Satellites’, one can only hope that the very influential radio station P3 finds a spot on the list, AND… one can only hope that it will make room for more Danish bands who aren’t (obviously) a part of the weird, useless american pop-scene. It’s about time we skip long programs about Carly Rae Jepsen and focus on the music we really care about.
Anyways, in May, Mew will be touring Europe in May, and they’ll visit Roskilde Festival in the summer!
