Local band Bonnie Cried recently released the final track from their debut EP, we had a closer look at this very exciting new band and their music.
So, a while back, these gentlemen were searching for a studio to record their material, they ended up in Berlin, where they’d found the Lightning studio through a friend. The studio is located in an old ammunitions factory with this old industrial vibe – and the meeting with this local band wasn’t a bad match.
If you’ve been listening along to the already released tracks, you’d have found it extremely difficult not to give Bonnie Cried another listen – yet this final track is something different. As if your mind can’t let it slip again. It gets to you, i guess, in this catchy yet authentic way.
Anyway – the debut EP is out, and it can be yours if you care enough to press the download button, and you get to decide for yourself how much you’ll be willing to pay. I consider it ‘highly recommendable’, so i suggest you go ahead and do it.
I’ll finish this article with some words from Bobby McBride (vocals, guitar) about the future of the band:
“I don’t know what the future holds, we just moved rehearsal studios, we have new material, and hopes of recording this way again in the next few months. I know a lot of people are confused by how we look, people of all shapes, ages and sizes in our line-up, but it’s all about the music for us. Music for lovers. Music for those dark tendancies everyone has. Its real, that’s all we know.”
