Fucking Kellermensch, eh?
A while back I heard some rumors about a new single coming from this band, but I mean, what to expect? They haven’t really been all that active for quite some time (since a free show in Odense in 2015, and before that; a canceled show in May 2014), so why bother getting your hopes up and expect some phenomenal new song?
Earlier this week, they finally said something. A picture with the date: 18-11-2016, which isn’t all that cryptic as people stated; new music is coming. Today, they unveiled new single ‘Bad Sign’ – the first off the upcoming album “Goliath” expexted to be released on the 27th of January 2017.
Now, I haven’t spent time wondering about Kellermensch since I saw them open Roskilde Festival back in 2012, except from when seeing or hearing about Sebastian Wolff and his wonderfully put together studio, Persona Non Grata. But now, all of a sudden, it’s like they never took that sabbatical year (or six).
‘Bad Sign’ is quite simply something I didn’t know I was longing for; something the Danish music scene didn’t know that it needed. Sorry, but there’s just too much horrible music out there right now, and there’s even horrible music being made to prove that there’s too much horrible music right now. I mean, where does it end? ‘Bad Sign’ is something else; it’s something real.
