It’s a rare occasion, that we promote foreign artists who aren’t playing Aarhus anytime soon. One huge criterion is, that we need a Danish angle on the article – and this one got served to us yesterday.
Behind Happy Sometimes we find Cara Onofrio who just recently turned 21, I believe. A trendy songwriter and producer living in L.A. – who along the way taught herself how to make crispy tunes. A debut EP was recently released, and it’s most certainly a perfect Saturday feel good EP to put on, and slowly get in the mood for some serious ‘festivity’.
The EP holds five tracks, including a brilliant cover of Franz Ferdinand’s Take Me Out – but it is with the title track, that we find this famous Danish angle on this one. Video Tapes is produced by popular Danish producer Kasual (also a part of Few Wolves), who met Cara on a trip to LA earlier this year. This came out of it, and it’s a great way to set the mood – and yes, it does make sense to open up a bottle of wine before giving it a spin. Enjoy!
The EP is released in Scandinavia via We Make Noise.
