No single word can describe this second face in our Inspire series. At first glance you may not recognize him as the talent who can handle a set of drumsticks, but that’s only due to the fact that Kristoffer was a hipster, before it became mainstream. As a former drummer in Oh No Ono he has played the largest stages and has been awarded several prices in Denmark. Furthermore he has played live with multi-selling Danish band Aqua – How many people can look back and say that?
This is after all not the only reason why we think Kristoffer Rocks! Besides having drummed his way into the music industry with fast drumbeats, he is also an inspirational entrepreneur. First as partner and co-founder of the record label Tambourhinoceros, in addition also as festival organizer with Trailerpark Festival and last but not least as part of NordicWaves. A company promoting music to the Scandinavian audience! Let us introduce: Kristoffer Rom!

I’m an old metal-head so there’s nothing better for me than to start the day with something hardhitting. Here’s “See the World Given to a One Love Entity” by Guardian Alien. A 37-minute track that’ll blow your mind and also introduce you to one of my favorite drummers. Would’ve given a leg to have released this on Tambourhinoceros.
[chat question=”A song for the hours of study?“]
Well, I’m pretty uneducated… I just went to some music schools and some of high school, so I’m not the most experienced guy to ask about this… However, I do a lot of office work which I guess need sorta the same soundtracks as studying. I can definitely recommend “December” by Braids for building both concentration and adrenaline at the same time. They’re such a great act, check out the full length album too (released on Full Time Hobby/Arbutus Records in August), it’s called Flourish//Perish.

This gotta be Roll The Dice’s “Calling All Workers” from their absolutely mindblowing record In Dust (The Leaf Label, 2011). Some bonus info on the band, I built their very minimalist website and also booked them for Trailerpark Festival 2012. Their 100% analogue setup based on a shitload of synths, drum machines and a rhodes gave me one of my best live experiences ever.
[chat question=”A song for the perfect weekend?“]
I recently became a dad so now weekends are more about family than partying. So I choose the theme song of a danish TV show for kids called “Bamses BIlledbog”. I believe it’s just called “Signatur”. Besides being really catchy and a part of most danish peoples lives the song has some really interesting rhythmical stuff going on.

“Altibzz” by Autechre. Is a beautiful track and Autechre is at the same level as The Beatles in my world.
