Howdy, Partner: The White Dominos’ Video For ‘Give It Up’ Is Wild West Perfection
It should be no secret, and no surprise to you, that Aarhus-based The White Dominos are known to the world not only because of brilliant, high-tempo live performance and rock-ish riffs, but also because of the kick-ass videos that always accompanies their new releases. Last month, on September 16, their video for new single ‘Give It Up’’ released via trendsetting Redbull – and it is one hell of a video.
Following the rough yet clean as whiskey-without-the-rocks style of their music, the blooming Aarhus band has taken their video to a new level. Back in time, to the heyday of Cowboys, saloons, Remington 1875s and smoke-filled poker games. In other words, we are talking fake blood and special effect en mass; wild west perfection.
Featuring The Gunslinger, The Kid, The Englishman, and The Hero, the video centers on a poker game with casino tokens and dollars all over the table – who ends up as the winner, I won’t unveil; instead, you should check it out yourself.
Currently, the band is on a small fall tour, which ends in Aarhus, when they will support Band Of Skulls at Voxhall on November 1. Also, only a few days ago, they unveiled, that national radio station, DR P6 Beat, has named ‘Give It Up’ as Ugens Kanon, so one can only hope, that this can bring them massive airplay and even more gigs.
