After looking at the concerts this week, seeing all these great offers, we decided to pick up on doing weekly guides again, and here’s the first of many to come.
Our guide starts with Thursday and presents five different shows at different venues, but Aarhus has a lot more going on this week, so if you’re going somewhere specific that we haven’t mentioned, let us know, alright?
Oh yes, COCO MOON is back! And they’re not just back performin’ in Aarhus, they’re back with a brand new album coming to ya soon. It’s done, it’s called ‘Marble Mouth’ and it’s the first album since their debut in 2010. Their tracks are made in a factory hall, among trucks and machines, recorded live and often in one takes. Catch them at their release party this Thursday at Radar!
Thursday evening is no easy decision, though, as we’ve highlighted another concert for you guys. Danish/Swedish act Fastpoholmen is back in town! They live in Copenhagen, speak Danish and sing in Swedish, and they’re no doubt a great match with Stakladen and Studenterhuset. Oh, and support is local Junglelyd!
It’s time to celebrate the fact that weekend is upon us, and even though you’ve received a few Danish Kroner, there’s no reason to go spent them on some expensive trip to Tivoli or whatever, nope, once again, we recommend you to stop by Radar. ‘Mono I Stereo’ is back and they’re presentin’ three interesting alternative names; Catch The Breeze, Turquoise Sun, Purpur Jaipur.
This evening holds two very different shows, and I’m pretty sure that these two shows mean something for everyone. Presented by Mercedes-Benz, Reptile Youth (Mads Damsgaard Kristiansen) will once again team up with the American artist Abby Portner, who’ll make sure that scenography and visuals are in order at Bora Bora.
The last event on this guide is with local The White Dominos, playing at Fatter Eskil this Saturday evening. These guys are well known in Aarhus, respected by both supporters and fellow musicians, and if you haven’t seen these guys yet, here’s your chance to catch them at the right surroundings and at the right time, as it is their release concert – and the entrance is free, of course! This is their first show on the ‘On To Something’ tour, after that follows two months of playing in Denmark, Italy, Slovenia, and Hungary. They’ll be supported by Tim Alvin Boström, known as the front figure in The Boy That Got Away.
