The four new acts added to the line-up are Moon Mountain, Nueva Costa(CHL), Elevatorfører and The Road Back to Yahowa.
Moon Mountain play mysterious psych rock that takes the listener on a journey through the desolate sands of the desert with stops along the way to linger on delicate, intimate moments of trance. Moon Mountain’s live performances balances extreme inertia with a constant drive forward steered by roaring drums, layers of noise, the ringing of gongs and stunning vocals.
Nueva Costa(CHL) is the side project of Daniel Bande from the Holy Drug Couple. The band plays a whirlwind cocktail of cosmic psych rock sound with layers of Synth and spacy guitar, topped off with Spanish lyrics. Nueva Costa blends inspirations from early 70s psychedelic rock with a modern, minimalistic instrumentation which evokes thoughts of early Brian Jonestown Massacre.
The Road Back to Yahowa Is based on the idea of less talking, more rocking. This Copenhagen-based band plays straightforward Punk-rock with satanic folk-rock elements. As with the few other instruments in the mix, the vocals are a distorted front seat driver on an energetic, take-no-prisoners ride with BRMC and Clinic on the back seat. And the bumper sticker says: “controlled madness”.
Elevatorfører is a Danish-languaged psychedelic orchestra, devoted to a clean cut revivalist sound with tales of acidy trips and mystical communications with far away galaxies. Functioning as a collective of artists, the band draws inspiration for their musical narrative from various artistic disciplines, which expresses itself in theatrical live performances drenched in stunning visual arts.
The festival which takes place on October 3-4 at Radar, Godsbanen, has already announced Spindrift(US), Electric eye(NO), Morgan Square, Holy(SE) and slow-psychers Distortion Girls.
