She is responsible for over 40 million Youtube clicks, a gold disc for the album “Sweep of Days”, and – having contributed the track “Eyes On Fire” to the Twilight soundtrack – at least partly accountable for millions of broken teenager hearts. For several years, Kristine Stubbe Teglbjærg was the female voice of “Blue Foundation” – until she quit in 2009 to find her own sound.
In 2013, it seems like she has finally found it. While now singing in her mother tongue Danish, she has kept true to what she learned with “Blue Foundation”: spinning electronic sound cocoons around her audience. In her very own relaxed and reflective way of songwriting, she has retained the ability to compose melodies that stick because they don’t try too hard. So even if you didn’t enjoy Twilight (and its soundtrack) as much as millions of 13-year-old girls, expect to be taken by your hand and levitated through the holy halls of RADAR tonight (Sep 5).
