Fanø Folk Festival gets a night in Aarhus, when the local venue HeadQuarters opens the door for the festival. The festival started in 2010 and is for free folk and avantgarde music. The festival will visit Aarhus the 27 of August and has a very exiting line up which includes acts like the German guitarist and composer Steffen Basho-Junghans. His music is a great mix of the American folk and the classical European music.
His music has of same reason been called “Minimal-Trance-Folk” and “Folk-Wester-Raga” because of the trance-like state you can reach during his music. Another great name who visits HeadQuarters is the local band “Tales of Murder and Dust”, the guys who we have been writing about once here at Sound of Aarhus, is with their combination of psychedelic rock and dreamy folk is an experience that you wouldn’t regret.
The line-up at HeadQuarters includes besides of the two bands above Léonore Boulanger, Own Road and Taiga Taiga. If you are a folk enthusiast, a little bit into folk or just want to experience some of the worlds best folk musicians then HeadQuarters is definitely the right place to be today from 16:00 – 02:00.
