It’s been just about three years since the release of ’Bulb Days’ (2014) – an album we still enjoy listening to from time to time. Since then, the world has been presented with two singles – ’Hourglass’ and ’No Wait’ – from the forthcoming album ’Realistic Friendship’, set to be released at the very end of this month.
But… the lovely guys from Quick Quick Obey have created a rather alternative way of pre-listening their new album, and that way is made possible from today; all it takes is a computer and time to explore the QQO-universe in ’Realistic Friendship: The Game’.
Yes, you read it right! They’ve created a computer game, where you, from a first person perspective, explore a tropical island, meet human-like dolls (might be new friends?) and, most importantly, collect the tracks from the album.
The game goes quite well with the theme of the album; the tension between the analog and digital friendship – but at the same time it challenges the way we experience music and creates a connection between the artist and the listener.
We’ve had some great fun playing this game, and after hearing all the songs, we’re really excited about the release of this album!
You can experience the computer game right HERE – enjoy!
