It didn’t took us long to fall head over heels with this local band, The Vice. For a short period of time, Humanoid, their beautifully constructed second single, was pretty much all we heard at the office. It was literally the only song on our playlist. We then paid them a visit and found out, that – luckily – they’re a bunch of pretty-kewl-dudes as well.
Back then, we called ‘Humanoid’ an ‘undeniably pleasurable mindfuck’, and we managed to score ourselves an exclusive premiere – obviously pretty excited about that. Apparently, we weren’t the only ones to dig The Vice. Danish radio did as well – and from now on, it’s all about taking over the world. All it takes is a chance for them to showcase in front of a bunch of industry people. If only we had a festival where you could do stuff like that in Aarhus? (hint hint, SPOT, that’s you I’m referring to)
First Calculator, then Humanoid, and now, as of today, Suburban Dad; a catchy, sentimental piece of The Vice, written by the talented front figure Mikkel Dahl – and by mentioning the Feedback Studio, Magnus Vad and Emil Thomsen (among others) in their credits, it seems they’ve managed to find just the right local ingredients to go with that melting pot of talent, style, and signature sound. This truly is the sound of The Vice – and, with our predictions, the sound of 2017.
This third single comes with a beautifully produced video, made by KarmaCat Productions. And, I’m sure we can all agree on this, there’s nothing like a quality video to go with that hit single.I know you’re gonna enjoy this piece of music, but wait – there’s more. You can experience The Vice tonight at Tape, alongside Slowes. We’ll see ya there, right?
