One of the most promising duos on the Danish music scene just announced their debut EP (they call it a mini-album but who cares about the name?) to release in June. So far Cancer have only played six concerts including both their first one at CPH:DOX in 2012 and the indescribable SPOT performance last year at Voxhall.
Literally the entire music industry was filling the Aarhus venue to capacity. Everyone wanted to see, to hear and to feel the new thing in Danish music. Since then a lot of water has gone under the bridge and Kristian, one half of the duo, released his next album under his alias of Chorus Grant. I’ll admit, this album blew me away with its simplicity and elegance! Back to the future..
The new mini-albummet named Ragazzi features six tracks, and is produced by Nikolaj and Kristian themselves, yet also Nis Bysted. A man who has produced for both Iceage, Thulebasen and Choir of Young Believes in the past.
