If you’re in anyway familiar with The Danish folk Music scene you have probably heard or know Boho Dancer and Dangers of the Sea. Both bands have managed to create a certain hype around their music, which can probably best be described as melodic storytelling with the sound of an acoustic guitar as the core. Despite the bands’ individual success, the two folk forces decided to team up for this fall and tour across the country bringing with them their distinctive and acknowledged sound.
For this joint tour Boho Dancer and Dangers of the Sea collaborated on the track “Mountains” which is a powerful and catchy duet displaying both bands charismatic vocalists but also their great song writing abilities. The track was made especially for the tour and works wonderfully as a sort of promo for the concerts that have and passed and those yet to come. The bands have both expressed great mutual respect, which is easily spotted in the video for “Mountains” but also how they manages to collaborate with no obvious effort.
Starting in October the bands have been touring together and luckily for us, their final show is held at Studenterhuset on the 14th. A great way to experience two great bands at once and for those who have already experienced them, a great way to see them use their creative energy in new roles.
