Listen up people, Aarhus might have found its very own Kaizers Orchestra.
Oh, you complicated Danes! Sometimes it seems to me that you don’t want us foreigners to write about your marvelous music scene. At least you really don’t make it easy for us to spell most of your song titles and/or band names. I just spent fifteen minutes on googling how to type the “æ” on my German keyboard (In the end, I failed and ended up copy-pasting it from my browser). But hey: worth it, if it gets you to listen to OK Fra Siden’s track “Græs”.
It is the perfect track for all of you have spent the past two weeks in their room, crying and watching Kaizers Orchestra’s final concert over and over again. But the mourning period is over and you know it. It’s time for you to move on and find yourself a new favourite band. Lucky for you, we can help with that!
With a simple yet dazzling guitar hook, a catchy chorus and a singer sounding suspiciously similar to Kaizers Orchestra’s lead singer Janove Ottesen, “Græs” makes for just the perfect track to ease the break up pain. Admittedly, the band’s other songs sound a bit different, but “Græs” shows what the band could be capable of in the future. The stage is all theirs.
