Another month – another bunch of releases to go through. Christmas is getting near and it’s cold and dark outside.
And there is no track more fitting for this than this track from local Aarhus artists Swab&Lax. Swab is a producer mostly known for his groups Manus Nigra and Bumsestilen while Lax is a rapper/producer who has always kept it pretty secret. I first heard this track about half a year ago and have been tripping ever since. Without a doubt one of the tracks of the year. 2015 ‘til Infinity.
And while we are at Manus Nigra, the rapper Ham Den Lange has made a “support single” for the Danish prince consort Henry. A comedic and witty take on some serious issues pointing out how hard everything is for his royal highness.
We’ll keep it in Aarhus for the next one, which is the young up and coming producer Thor Kvisgaard, who is signed to the Swedish label Ninetofive Records.
Here we have an instrumental from his EP “Homegrown” with another youngin’ A.V.L. busting a “freestyle”. Mellow and still with a drive.
Lasse Frisk has been provoked by the manner in which the refugee crisis has been handled and has made the track and video “#IKKEIMITNAVN” with some serious points. Produced by Mathias Vegas.
Next up is Loke Deph, Esben & Semphiz (aka Semih Automatisk) with the track “Timeglas” with a crazy production by Boone. Just crazy!
Loke Deph teams up with TP and A.R. for some G-funk shit. Could have been a summer track. Very L.A. with the talk box and everything.
Boone also teams up with Khalern aka Khal Allan for this joint. Very lo-fi.
Danish producer legend Tue Track has dugged deep in his crates and found some unreleased tracks for the album “Archives vol. 1 – In English”. Although some of it, like the instrumental for “Fool Ya”, has been released earlier. It’s very mixed but worth checking out.
Den Røde Armé is a collective/group consisting of the producer Claus and the two rappers Eskild O and Marc Ivar. Not always the tightest rap, but I really like the style.
Local Viby J producer WhoGotDrumz released a really dope beattape earlier this month. One of my favorites is “Mind Made Up”, but there’s seven other nice tracks to check out.
Rapper Chen and producer Architech is teaming up for a collaborative EP and has released their first single “Familie Forbindelse pt 2” featuring Emil. Hardcore speed rap.
Mickael Crack$øn is formerly known as MTDB and a part of Goodwill Gang and STØV. Here he is joined by Bigges on a Marc Live production.
Also from Goodwill Gang, the producer M.W.P., who will release a star stuttered producer album the 24th of December has posted this dope track with Baltimore rapper ILL Conscious.
And last but not least the for me unknown Astro Cigar with the stoned out “Tåråt”.
That’s it for this time around. Only other news is that The Game has been announced at Voxhall in Aarhus. It’s already sold out, so if you want tickets you need to get it elsewhere.
